Bacon Roasted Cabbage Steaks

1 medium head green or red cabbage or a combination

2 tablespoons avocado oil

4 slices bacon chopped

Pink Himalayan salt and ground black pepper

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. 

2. Cut the base off the cabbage and set the flat end on a cutting board. Cut the cabbage into one-inch slices in arrange them on a lined sheet pan.

3.  Drizzle the oil over the cabbage slices. Top the cabbage evenly with the bacon then season with a couple of pinches of salt and pepper.

4.  Bake for 20 minutes until the edges of the cabbage are caramelized and the bacon is done. Serve immediately.
